Dr Stephanie Studenski is a geriatrician and rheumatologist whose practice, teaching and research focus on mobility, balance disorders and falls in older adults. Dr Studenski is currently the principal investigator of the Claude D Pepper Older Americans Independence Center at the University of Pittsburgh. She is also PI or co-PI of grants related to the prognostic value of gait speed in older adults, the role of dopamine depletion in falls and balance disorders, a recently completed project on cancer and aging, and several training grants.

Tim Wilkinson is a geriatrician at Princess Margaret Hospital, Christchurch who tries to balance his interest in geriatric medicine with his interest in medical education. He is a Professor in Medicine and Associate Dean (Medical Education) at the University of Otago, Christchurch. He chairs the Otago Faculty of Medicine Curriculum Committee, and the assessment committee.
His research interests are assessment in medical education, workplace learning, evaluation of service delivery for older people, and ways to promote independence in old age.
